Incident Command Team Course
Training Aim
The aim of this training course is to provide the partcipants with a comprehensive understanding of the practices and procedures of Emergency Incident Management and Command.
The course further serves to provide participants with experience of the practical application of the management process at simulated incidents and also to apply and validate their own “Standard Operating Procedures”
This course includes EXTENSIVE use of ADMS (Advanced Disaster Management Simulator)
Target Audience
The Course has been developed for organisations that have adopted or intend to adopt the Thailand Incident Management System (TIMS) or have adopted an alternative Incident Management System that is to be implemented at emergency incidents
Specific attendees from the organisation should be;
- Persons who may be required to perform a Management Team role at an incident
- Persons who may need to assist the Incident Management Team
- Persons who may be required to know the principles of the Incident Management System
Duration of Course
Two Days
“Practice makes perfect”
It is widely recognised that the transformation of “Knowledge” into “Skill” comes about by “Practice”
The course syllabus is therefore split equally into teaching the understanding of an incident command process and the “Coaching” of the practical application of that knowledge to the students by using the ADMS Virtual Reality Disaster Simulator
